the “Senior Tabula, 1916”, the yearbook for Hemingway’s and his
sister Marceline’s Oak Park High School for their Junior year, the
young Ernest is listed and pictured as a member of the “Trapeze
Staff” (a literary club), The Burke Debating Club, and the Minor
Football team. |

Besides
the yearbook, the collection includes an issue of the magazine Poetry,
printed in 1923, in which Hemingway contributed the three-page poem
“Wanderings”, one of his earliest printed literary efforts; also
included is the Paris literary periodical This Quarter, 1925, in
which Hemingway published the very early Nick Adams story “Big Two
Hearted River” and a very personal and revealing “Homage to Ezra”.
All in excellent condition with light wear to wrappers (This Quarter
with some chipping to wrappers and Poetry with light stamp on
front wrapper and first page). Three revealing items of the young
writer. Scarce.
